Antique Art Nouveau Silver Mistletoe Pendant Rattle, c. 1900
- Description
A rare and charming Art Nouveau silver pendant, originally designed as a rattle charm, beautifully decorated with entwined mistletoe leaves and berries - a timeless symbol of love, renewal, and protection.
The pendant is crafted in solid silver with exquisite high-relief detailing and softly aged patina. Inside, it contains a small internal rattle element that produces a gentle sound when moved — a delightful feature typical of late 19th–early 20th century keepsake jewellery. This piece would have likely been given as a sentimental token, perhaps for a christening or as a symbol of affection, later repurposed as a pendant. Stamped with a French hallmark.
