

























Antique Austro Hungarian Turquoise Garnet and Pearl Enamel Locket
- Description
This exquisite late 19th century Austro-Hungarian turquoise, garnet and pearl circular locket pendant is dated circa 1890. The locket is decorated with a central turquoise cabochon surrounded by four garnets, four half freshwater pearls and turquoise cabochons. The piece has a lovely white and black enamelled detail together with a silver gilt floral motif. The back of the locket is also decorated with a single central pearl and turquoise. The locket opens to reveal two silver gilt photo compartments. Stamped with an Austro-Hungarian small piece of lion's head mark and a further partial mark.

Measurements: 3.2 cm in diameter, weight: approx 16.4 grams
Condition: Some signs of wear, some rubbing to the gilding and losses to the enamel
