This beautiful and charming Edwardian 9ct gold front & back rhombus shaped locket was made circa the 1900s. The locket depicts a swallow in the flight surrounded by a garland of flowers. A swallow is accented with white and red stones. Stamped 9ct Gold Back, Front.
The swallow was considered a symbol of new life, renewal, and revival, and it also symbolizes loyalty and everlasting love. The locket opens to reveal a compartment for a photograph.
