





















Antique Russian 9ct Gold and Silver Cappuccino Agate Cigarette Case
- Description
This exquisite and rare 9ct gold and silver agate cigarette case was made circa 1908 by Vasily Kangin, Russian goldsmith and silver craftsman known for his fine jewellery and silver items. He also worked with court supplier Morozov.
The case has a rectangular shape with rounded edges, the body chased with sun ray lines with mounted cappuccino agate set in 9ct and a cabochon sapphire solid gold thumb-piece. Struck to the interior with maker's initials, 84 kokoshnik mark. Interior engraved with Cyrillic inscription: 'For good memory to F. Douglas from colleagues R. Crawford, P. Willig' and more names added on the bottom (please see attached images for more details). Rare and very fine piece of real silver craftsmanship perfect for those looking to add a real treasure to their collection
